Terms of Service
Last updated: 05/31/2026
Welcome to ServiceAndSleep.com. These Terms of Service govern your use of this website. Please read them carefully. By accessing or using the site, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Who we are
ServiceAndSleep.com (the “Site”) is operated by Synambix LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Delaware. The Site provides educational information about sleep health in military service members and veterans, including the biological effects of service on sleep, descriptions of sleep disorders, summaries of treatment evidence, and explanations of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) disability claims process.
2. Educational purpose only — not medical or legal advice
Please read this section carefully.
The content on this Site is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, not legal advice, and not a substitute for professional judgment.
Nothing on this Site creates a doctor-patient relationship, an attorney-client relationship, or any professional relationship between you and Synambix LLC or any contributor to the Site.
Specifically, you understand and agree that:
- The Site does not diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about your health, treatment, or medications. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read here.
- The Site is not a substitute for a Veterans Service Organization (VSO), an accredited claims agent, or an attorney. Information about the VA claims process is general and may not apply to your individual circumstances. VA laws, regulations, rating criteria, and procedures change over time and may have changed since content was published.
- You are solely responsible for any decisions or actions you take based on information found on the Site.
If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, see the Veterans Crisis Line information at the bottom of this page.
3. No guarantee of accuracy or outcomes
We work to keep the Site accurate and current, including by consulting with veterans and reviewing clinical and regulatory sources. Even so, we make no warranty that the content is complete, accurate, up to date, or applicable to your situation. Medical evidence evolves and VA rules change. We do not guarantee any particular medical outcome, claim result, disability rating, or benefit. References to studies, guidelines, regulations, or treatments are summaries and may simplify or omit detail.
4. Permitted use of the Site
You may access and use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial, informational use, and you may share links to its pages. You agree not to:
- Copy, reproduce, republish, or redistribute substantial portions of the content for commercial purposes without our written permission;
- Use the Site in any way that is unlawful, or that could damage, disable, or impair the Site or interfere with anyone else’s use of it;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, its servers, or connected systems;
- Use automated systems to scrape or harvest content in a manner that places unreasonable load on the Site, or misrepresent the source or authorship of the content.
5. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise noted, the text, design, graphics, and other content on the Site are owned by or licensed to Synambix LLC and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The “Service and Sleep” name and logo are marks of Synambix LLC. Citations to third-party studies, government regulations, and other external sources remain the property of their respective owners and are referenced for educational purposes.
6. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party resources, such as government pages, research articles, and veteran-support organizations. These links are provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party site. A link does not imply our endorsement of that site.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Synambix LLC and its members, contributors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content. This includes, without limitation, decisions made about your health or your VA claim. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Site is to stop using it.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Synambix LLC and its members, contributors, and affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
